James (Jim) Gary Kilby age 81 of Ernest Lambeth Road, Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord Friday night at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Brother Ben Streett officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Tuesday and at other times at the home.
Jim was born June 3, 1934 in Wilkes County to James and Margaret Louise Walters Kilby. He was the retired owner/operator of Hilltop Convenience Store. A known family man, he had a strong bond with each of his loved ones and each relationship was unique. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Daniel Sealey and a step-son, Lonnie Livengood.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Preston Kilby of the home; daughters, Maggie Streett (Ben) of Winston-Salem, Kathy Sealey (Chris) of Stony Point, Christie Spencer (Chad) of Lexington and Bobbie Leigh Thompson of Winston-Salem; step-daughter, Annette Martin of Monroe; grandchildren, Joey Keiger, Misty Mabe, Michael Kilby, Kristen Sealey, Caleb and Regan Spencer, Sydney Matthews, Brianna, Evan and Bailey Thompson; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 step-grandaughter, Taylor and one step-great grandchild.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
