James "Jim" Odell Strickland Jr.

James “Jim” Odell Strickland Jr.. 83, of Wildlife Circle, passed away Tuesday October 1, 2024 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday October 19 2024 at Becks Reformed Church with Pastor Steve Regan conducting services.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.

Jim was born February, 3. 1941 in Wake County to James Odell Strickland Sr. and Flora McDonald Grant Strickland. One of Jim’s favorite hobbies was to travel the country with his wife and going  Bird Watching.

Surviving is his wife Barbara Louise Spuill Strickland of the home; his son Jay  (Natalie) of Trinity; his daughter, Cathie Elliott (Scott) of Mt. Pleasant, 3 grandchildren, Hunter Elliott, Ashlyn Elliott and Emma Strickland; and one sister, Carolyn Strickland of Maggie Valley,
