James "Jim" Edward Woodall

James “Jim” Edward Woodall, 73, of The Brian Center Nursing Home, formerly of Briggstown Road, Lexington, died Friday May 17, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Palliative Care Unit after and extended illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday May 23, 2013 at Freedom Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Woodall was born May 22, 1939 in Rockingham County to William Earl Woodall and Minnie Bell Scott Woodall. He was of the Baptist faith. After high school, he attended Davidson County Community College for supervisory courses. Jim was a plant supervisor for various local furniture plants. He retired as a plant manager at Empire Furniture in Johnson City Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Irving Woodall, Pete Woodall, and Bobby Woodall and four sisters; Louise Sherman, Eva “Titter” Davis, Yvonne Story and Peggy Glenn. Surviving are his wife Jackie Maness Woodall of Lexington, one daughter, Amy Kearns and husband Dale of Lexington, two step sons, Randy Swing and Don Swing both of Lexington,one brother, Joe Woodall and wife Barbara of Southmont, two sisters; Kay Bennett of Georgia and Gladys Barber of Lexington, one grandchild Josh Justus, two step grandchildren; Brooke Swing and Buddy Joe Swing and one great grandchild.
