James "Jimmy" Walter Beasley

James “Jimmy” Walter Beasley III, 77, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2026, at Davie Medical Center. James was born on November 8, 1948, in Forsyth County to the late James Walter Beasley Jr. and Dorothy Elois Ford Beasley.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Crater Beasley, and stepmother, Ruth Ellington Beasley.

A service will be held on Friday September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel-Hickory Tree in Winston-Salem. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. A visitation will be held on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree.

James was a brakeman conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad until his retirement.

He is survived by sons, James “Jamie” Beasley (Frances) and Jay Beasley; sister, Rebecca Justice (Dannie); seven grandchildren, Gracie, Ben, Jaxson, Sierra, Jesse, Shamon, and Ashley; and two great-grandchildren, Margot and Julian.
