James "Jimmy" John Wargo

September 28, 1931 — March 20, 2015

James John Wargo (Jimmy), loving husband, father, and pawpaw, age 83 of Lower Lake Road, Thomasville, NC passed away Friday March 20, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday March 23, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery with military honors by Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday night and other times at the home. Jimmy was born in Columbia Heights, Minnesota September 28, 1931 to Andrew Wargo and Anna Wargo. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a retired Foreman with Central Atlantic Contractors. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Miskowic; brothers, Donald Wargo and Andrew Wargo; daughter, Debbie Nichols of Jacksonville Florida. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancie Elliott Wargo of the home; daughters, Johnnie Lanning Bell and husband Raymond of Lexington, Elizabeth Lanning Hower and husband Ed of Thomasville; sons Harold Ray Lanning, Jr of Thomasville, Steven Wargo of Jacksonville Florida; son in law Gary Nichols of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Charlie Bell of Linwood, Samantha Hower, Kimberly Lanning, and Johnathan Lanning all of Thomasville, Anthony Sato of Jacksonville Florida; great-grandchildren, Calum Jones, Savannah Bean, Colton Bean all of Linwood, and Colee Sato of Jacksonville Florida; very special friends, Kelly Platt and Kathryn Jones of Lexington, Matt Porter of Thomasville, Scotty Bean and Josh Lemley of Linwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial should be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
