James Ladd

James Lee Ladd, 75, of Eller Road, Lexington, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday, September 10 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens by Chaplain Wale Abe. The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home. James was born August 25, 1939 in Davidson County to William McKinley Ladd and Lela Jordan Ladd. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Felix and Paul, and his sisters, Rachel, Vera, and Norma Jean. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosa, of the home; and his daughter, Leigh Ann (Brian Holt), of Sherrills Ford, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Centers of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem NC 27103. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Staff of Hospice of Forsyth County and Chaplain Wale Abe, and to his in-home nurses, Anna and Allison, for all of the love and concern shown to James and his family.
