James Dwight "Jimmy" Leonard Jr.

James Dwight "Jimmy" Leonard Jr., 48 of South Main Street, Scottsburg, Indiana died Sunday September 3, 2006 in Indiana. Mr. Leonard was born February 19, 1958, in Davidson County to James Dwight Leonard and Betty Biesecker Leonard. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents Ray and Tempie Biesecker and Paul and Grace Leonard. Surviving are sons Jason Paul Leonard and Jeremy Reid Leonard both of Kill Devil Hills; father and step-mother Dwight and Denise Leonard of Lexington; sister Paula Murphy and husband Larry; Uncles Charles Biesecker and wife Amelia, Don Biesecker and wife Margaret, and Joe Biesecker and wife Gail all of Lexington; aunts Doris Stimson and husband Dick of Lewisville, and Patsy Grubb and husband Wayne of Thomasville; nephew Chris Poole of Lexington; and a great-nephew Austin Poole of Lexington. A Graveside will be held at 11:00AM Monday September 11, 2006 in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Doug Hochmuth. Burial will follow in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday September 10, 2006 at the home of the father and stepmother on Lake Leonard road. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the charity of the donors choice.
