James Lequire

September 28, 1939 — July 15, 2017

James Monroe Lequire, age 77, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Hinkle Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.  Mr. Lequire was born in Macon County on September 28, 1939 to Druie Theodor Lequire and Zenie Mae Hutchin Lequire. He was a retired from TFI where he served as a foreman, and was also a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.  Surviving are his loving wife, Betty Jo Lequire of the home; a son James Fields of Lexington; a daughter, Bobbi Fields of Lexington; three brothers; two sisters; and was also an amazing grandpa to five grandchildren, Tristan Fields, Jessica Wright, Brian Hicks, Eric Coalson, and Haley Everhart.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
