James Philip Livengood, Jr., 62, of Carl Pressley Road passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Davidson Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gary Gibson and the Rev. Milburn Trent officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Livengood was born on July 20, 1946 in Davie County to James Philip Livengood, Sr.
and Darrell Giles Livengood. He ran Jimmy’s Garage in Tyro from 1972 until 1996 and was
employed at Freightliner. He was preceded in death by two sons, Philip Dale Livengood and Walter Dwayne Livengood.
Surviving are his wife Doris Conner Livengood, of the home; sons Doyle Gene Livengood
and Jimmy Dean Livengood and wife Cristy; three grandchildren Dustin Livengood, Austin Livengood and Cody Livengood; a brother Larry Livengood and wife Elizabeth;
sisters Jessie Michael, Kay Elliott and husband Everette, Sue Eller and Carol Trent and husband Milburn, all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral
Home – Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.
