James Kenneth Medlin

Ken Medlin, 89, of Lexington, passed away January 13, 2024, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church, at 2;00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2024, with Rev. Jim Luck officiating. A burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will see friends in the cemetery after the service.

Mr. Medlin was born May 13, 1934, in Davidson County to Clyde Willis Medlin and Vera Walker Medlin. Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he retired from Ken’s Barber Shop, and was a faithful member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Martha Mills Medlin of 67 years, brother Charles Medlin, and sister in-laws Pat Medlin, Catherine Medlin.

Left to cherish his memories are his son; Randy Medlin wife Debbie, daughter Terri Sosebee husband Mark all of Lexington; grandchildren, Seth Sosebee wife Courtney, Tiffany Medlin Williams friend A. J. Causey, Adam Medlin, friend Emily Wall, great granddaughter, Lilah Latta Sosebee, great grandson, Dylan Latta Sosebee, brother Joel Medlin, sister in-law Pat Fine, Sharon Kindley, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Reformed United Church of Christ, 521 E. Center Street (Suite E), Lexington, NC 27292.
