James Ervin Money

James Ervin “Jim” Money, age 75 of Advance passed away Wednesday morning, December 12, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Phillip Brande officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday.

Jim was born November 17, 1943 in Davidson County to Roy Money and Mildred Jones Money. He was a veteran of the US Army. He built his career in the grocery store business, by serving others in the community for 52 years and retired from Food Lion as a store manager with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carolyn Miner Money and a brother Kenneth Money.

Surviving are his sons, Scott Money of Winston Salem and Eric Money of Durham; daughter, Angie York (Dennis) of Farmington; grandchildren, Alyssa York and fiance’ Kendrick Fruits, Daniel York, Abigail York, Evan York and Nautica York; brothers, Gene Money of Lexington and Steve Money of Salisbury; sister, Linda Miller of Mocksville.
