James Franklin Moorhead, 84 of Corn Flower Lane, Lexington passed away Saturday June 6th in High Point Regional Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Revs. Bradley Testerman and Rick Sommers officiating. Military Honor’s by Davidson County Honor Guard.
The family will received friends following the service at the home of his daughter, Mindy Davis, 428 Becks Nursery Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
Mr. Moorhead was born in Williamsport, PA on October 25, 1930 to Ebbert Paul Moorhead and Josephine Strayer Moorhead. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church. He proudly served our country in the US Marines. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Washburn Moorhead in 1992 and brothers, Eugene and Richard Moorhead and sister, Martha Moorhead.
He is survived by his daughters, Jamie Jarrell (Rick); Mindy Davis (Tom) and Mikla Younts (Joshua Parks) all of Lexington, grandchildren Bradley Younts (Candyse); Adam Younts (Tiffany); Stephen Jerrell; Will Davis (Amanda); great grandchildren, Carson Younts; Briley Younts; and Madeline Younts. Also surviving are son-in-law, Gary Younts of Lexington and sister-in-laws Bettie Barber of Lexington and Edna Moorhead of Montgomery, PA and several nieces and nephews.
