James David Munger

James David Munger, 68, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Services will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 3:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, with Minister Cole Dellinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service. David was born on August 11, 1954, in Rabun County GA, to Mr. Robert Warren Munger and Mrs. Evelyn Crane Munger. He worked for most of his life as an Electrical Superintendent and was proud to have served his country in the 82nd airborne division of the United States Army. David was the Commander of Don Black's Post 9 and loved going any time he could. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Rob Hutchins; brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Sherman, and Dale; and sisters, Joyce Rogers, and Kathy Munger. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Susan Hutchins of the home; son, Shawn Hutchins (Stacy) of Lexington; daughters, Shenna (Stephen) of Southmont, McCala Munger of Linwood, and Marinda; daughter-in-law, Brianna of Lexington; brothers, Tony Munger (Debbie) of Lexington, Tim Crane of Franklin, and Chris Munger of Lexington; sisters, Susie (Ivey) of Lexington, Margaret Munger Rish of Franklin, and Michelle Rogers of Franklin; and numerous grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
