James Nelson Miller

James (Jimmy) Nelson Miller, age 75 of Lexington passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at KBR Hospice in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Good Hope United Methodist Church where he was a member conducted by Revs. Joseph M. Fulk III and Tommy Robertson, with  burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel and at other times at the home.

Jimmy was born June 26, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to Ernest Nelson Miller and Lorena Guffey Miller. He retired from RJR and was a member of the Mens Bible Class at his church.  Jimmy honorably served his country in The US Navy and was a member of Masonic Memorial Lodge  0473. His parents and his wife, Betty Hege Miller preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Karen Maness and her husband Keith and Dewayne Miller and his wife Lisa all of Reedy Creek. Also surviving are six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A brother, Billy E. Miller and his wife Elsie of Lexington and his twin sister, Judy Miller Cooper of Shallotte, NC. His girlfriend, Kathy Howell.
