James Ernest Panter

James  Ernest  Panter age 92 of Lexington passed away Wednesday January 17, 2018 at his home. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday January 20, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted bt Pastor Eugene Cassada and burial to follow in Lexington City Cemetery with military honors by Davidson County Honor Guard. The  family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm prior to the service. Mr Panter was born May 13, 1925 in Cherokee  County to  William Hobart Panter and Bertha Margaret Harris.  He was an Agent with J.P. Insurance Agency. His parents and a son, Alan Panter preceded him in death. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Dockery Panter; a son, J. Roy Panter (Cynthia) of Colorado and two daughters, Joann Garrison (Dan) of Lexington and Wanda Hobbs of Greensboro; his grandchildren, James Roy Panter Jr., Garrett  Keith Hobbs, Jennifer Panter Allen, Ryan Panter, Justin Lloyd Panter, Kyler Panter and Heather Rena Garrison and nine great grandchildren.
