James Robert “Bob” Paul, 76, of S. Happy Hill Road, died Saturday at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington after an extended illness.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mr. Paul was born August 1, 1937 in Cabell County West Virginia, to Frank Joseph Paul and Ecyl Thomas Paul. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church and was retired from Lilly Industries as a color stylist as well as from Sun Airlines where he was a pilot. Mr. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army and Marine Corp. Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife Mary Louise Tackett Paul of the home, one son, James Franklin Paul and wife Ann of Lexington, one daughter Robyn Lou McDaniel and husband Stephen of Lexington, two grandchildren; James Devan Paul and wife Felisha, and Samantha Ann Paul, and one great-grandchild Nataleigh Paul, as well as a special canine friend Jack
