James David Redwine, Jr.

James David “Jim” Redwine, Jr., 89, of Westside Drive, Lexington died April 19, 2006 at the home. The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ by Rev. Jimmy Norred and Rev. John Ferree. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. He was born August 14, 1916 in Davidson County to William Ruffin Redwine and Hattie Michael Redwine. He retired from Davis Chevrolet after 64 years, where he was service manager. He was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II, a member and past president of the Lexington Moose Lodge and preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Davis Redwine. He is survived by Charles R. Redwine and his wife Sandra of Lexington and David R. Redwine and his wife Linda of Tucker, Ga; a daughter, Jemmietta Allred and her husband Eddie of Lexington; his grandchildren: Cathy Michael and her husband Tim of Raleigh, Christopher Allred of Lexington, David Ruffin Redwine, Jr. and his wife LeAnne of Houston, TX, Missy Redwine Nix and her husband Tim of Tucker, GA; his great grandchildren: Lindsey and Jordan Michael of Raleigh, Kacie, Erinn and Madison Allred of Lexington, Georgia, Lilly and Anna Belle Redwine of Houston, TX, Cassidy, Ryan and Carson Nix of Stone Mountain, GA, and a sister, Mildred Redwine Dinwiddie of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ, 2791 W.
