James Rolph, Sr.

James Alfred Rolph Sr., 54, of Sunnyside Drive, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at High Point Regional Hospital. A service to celebrate his life will be at noon Thursday at Second United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout Jr. Mr. Rolph was born April 17, 1958, in Wilmington, Del., to William Earl Rolph and Patricia Scullion Rolph. He was preceded in death by his father. He had worked in the furniture industry. Surviving are his wife, Sherry Church Rolph, of the home; three sons, Michael D. Rolph, James Rolph and Dustin Scott Rolph, all of Lexington; a granddaughter, Macy Rolph of Lexington; three brothers; and four sisters.
