James Louis Schipper, of Forsyth County, passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025. Born to the late Junior Schipper and Lucille Kates Schipper, James was a simple, kind-hearted man who found joy in the things he loved most—good music, good company, and the familiar comforts of home. He had a lifelong admiration for Alan Jackson and Elvis Presley, and he held a special fondness for the western lifestyle and its quiet charm. He was also known for his unwavering love of Pepsi and enjoyed spending time with people, never missing an opportunity to share a story, a laugh, or a warm conversation.
James is survived by his sister, Linda Schipper (Vernon Honeycutt); his niece, Karen Hollifield; his nephews, Dana Hollifield and Brandon Hollifield; and his cousins, Vickie Kelley, Gloria Marshall, and Butch Kelley. Each of them held a special place in his life, and he cherished the bond he shared with his family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Winston-Salem, with a graveside service to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens beginning at 2 pm.
