James Franklin Stafford

James Franklin Stafford, 70, of Lexington, died Wednesday August 18, 2021 at the VA Center in Durham. A graveside service with military graveside rites will be held 11:00am Wednesday August 25, 2021 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Gavin Pratt conducting services. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30am Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Stafford was born June 27, 1951 in Davidson County to William Franklin Stafford and Rachel Colleen Fortner Stafford. James was co-owner of Stafford Installations and enjoyed collecting British Cars. He was a United States Veteran and served in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry and the 173rd Airborne Brigade. James graduated with honors from Appalachian State University. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his son James Stafford II (Lauren) of Raleigh; his brother Todd Stafford of Lexington; two sisters, Christine Kearns (Neil) of High Point and Wanda Yates (David) of Lexington; and 2 grandchildren, Jackie Stafford and Nathan Stafford of Raleigh.
