Mr. James Clifton Triplette, 72, of Frye Bridge Road, died Friday at Forsyth Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 24, 2009 from the Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel by the Rev. Michael McDaniel. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Triplette was born May 26, 1936 in Wilkes County to Vender Franklin and Eva Jettie Bell Johnson Triplette. He was the retired owner and operator of Triplette Grocery and a member of Currytown Baptist Church. His sister, Hazel Triplette, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Roberts Triplette of the home; his son, James Curtis Triplette and wife, Lori, of Clemmons; his daughters, Debbie Leonard, and husband, Gary, of Lexington and Kay Triplette of Clemmons; his brothers, Jim Triplett and wife, Jane, of Wilkes County, and Leon Triplett and wife, Miranda, of Jonesville; his sisters, Aline Hanes of Lexington, Frances Howell of Ronda, and Pat Coppley of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Michelle Foltz and husband, Josh of Wallburg, Mikayla Triplette, McKenzie Triplette, Madison Triplette, and Carmen Triplette, all of Clemmons.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home- Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home.
