Mr. W. James Walser of Friendship Church Road, Lexington, lost his courageous battle with cancer, Sunday, December 30, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Chris Bennett and Larry Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Walser was born September 9, 1942, in Davidson County, to William Artis Walser and Treva Hege Walser. He retired from Advance Turbine after 35 years of service.
Surviving are his loving wife, Melanie Everhart Walser of the home; sons, Mickey James Walser and wife, Beth, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Mark Darin Walser and wife, Kelly, of Lexington; daughter, Cindy Annette Walser and fiancée, Mike, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., grandchildren, Savannah, Loren, Haustin, Regina and Chance; great-grandchildren, Arabella and Braylyn; sisters, Ruby Edmonds, Becky Hine and husband, Ronnie, all of Lexington; and Libby Hill of Franklinville.
