James Warfford

James Odell Warfford, 88, of Queens Road, died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Lexington Health Care.   A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, November 2 at Holloways Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Dana Slack.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at their respective homes.    Mr. Warfford was born July 3, 1929 in Davidson County to Arthur and Arlene Styers Warfford.  He retired from McLean Trucking and was a member of Holloways Baptist Church.  His sister, Mary Lee Clayton, preceded him in death.    Surviving are three sons, Paul Warfford (Rita), Randy Warfford, and James Warfford, all of Lexington; one daughter, Debbie Hunt and her husband Doug of Lancaster, SC; six grandchildren, Amy Bushnell and her husband, Michael, of Charlotte, Todd Warfford and his wife Cherie of Lexington, Anna Hunter and her husband Nat of Lancaster,SC, Mindy Warfford of Charlotte, Adam Warfford and his wife Olivia of Lexington, and Debbie Warfford Ortiz of Fayetteville; five great-grandchildren, Dalton, Alyson, Adah, Lawton, and Mia; and his brothers, Tommy Warfford and wife, Mildred, Joe Warfford, and Bobby Warfford, all of Lexington.       In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
