James Curtis Windsor, 82, of Peace Haven Drive, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at his home, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Second Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Bea Copeland. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Windsor was born June 28, 1924, in Davidson County to Clarence David Windsor and Nannie Pauline Allen Windsor. He was worked in electrical maintenance for the Federal Government for 35 years; was an avid golfer and enjoyed talking to all his friends at Smokey Joes.
Surviving are special cousin and caregiver, Sue Burton and husband, Sam; cousins, Paula Haynes, Vickie Cooper and husband, Arthur, Pam Haynes, Buddy Sechrest. Many other cousins not listed also survive him.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
