James Paul Wishon

James Paul Wishon, 69, of Della Wilson Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center of Salisbury after an illness of four years. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. Phillip Carter and Bud Wishon. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Wishon was born May 1, 1937, in Surry County to Harrison Edward Wishon and Ethel Carter Wishon. He was employed with Pope's BBQ for many years and later retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken as a supervisor. Following retirement, he was self-employed. Mr. Wishon was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Beverle Eaton Wishon of the home; two sons, Randy Wishon and his wife, Karen, of Lexington, and Todd Wishon and his wife, Summer, of Fredricksburg, Va.; two daughters, Lisa Everhart and her husband, Ricky, and Tonya Wishon, all of Lexington; five brothers, Junior Wishon and his wife, Marie, Arvil Lee Wishon and Leonard Wishon, all of Lexington, and Steve Wishon and his wife, Gail, and Ralph Wishon and his wife, Linda, all of Welcome; and 12 grandchildren, Sarah Wishon of Greenville, Zachary Wishon of Winston-Salem, Tommy Everhart, Jessica Everhart, Ashlee Wishon and Kendall Leigh Wishon, all of Lexington, Cody Wishon, Jacob Wishon, Caitlyn Wishon, Chloe Wishon, Timothy Wishon and Matthew Wishon, all of Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
