Jane Brown

Jane Melanie Milan Brown, age 61, of Lexington passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at Holly Grove Lutheran Church on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 12 Noon with the Revs. Matt Smith and Darrell Sluder officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:45 am until 11:45 pm on Monday prior to the service.

Mrs. Brown was born in Davidson County on December 11, 1957 to Clifford Milan and Martha Frances Milan Leonard. She was the former secretary for Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and her memory will be forever cherished. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ira Dwain Milan.

Surviving are her loving husband, David Craig Brown of the home; her daughter, Megan Everhart Blanchard (Edward) of Huntersville; a step-daughter, Ashley Brown Barnette (Magnum) of Lexington; two sisters, Karen Vaughn of Winston Salem and Melita Bailey (Mark) of Lexington; one granddaughter, Bella Barnette; one nephew, Ben Parker; six nieces, LeAnn Pittman, Logan Cox (Cody), Melanie Powell (Lee), Angie Hartsfield (Bobby), Laura Tysinger, Kristin Leonard (John); and great nieces, Ariel Hedrick, Katelyn Powell, Ansley Powell, and Madison Tysinger.
