Jane Fox

Violet "Jane" Leonard Fox, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel at 11 am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. There will be no formal visitation held.

Born in Davidson County on December 26, 1945, to Henry Earl Leonard and Daisy Burkhart Leonard, Jane's life was one of dedication and love. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Jane retired from Proctor and Schwartz, where she dedicated herself to her work with diligence and passion. However, her most cherished roles were those of wife, mother, and grandmother. She always ran the family as the boss, bringing joy and love into their lives with her strong leadership, compassion, and wisdom. She created countless memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Belinda Tomes, a grandchild, and eight siblings. While she has left this world, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Terry Lane Fox; her son, James Stiers (Tracy); her three step-daughters, Kimberly Fox, Tresa Fox, and Kristin Birdsong (Jerry); her sister, Gail Gurley; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292, in honor of Jane's compassionate care.

Though Jane may no longer walk among us, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Davidson Funeral Home is honored to serve the family during this time of loss and remembrance.
