Jane Eller Swicegood

Jane Eller Swicegood, age 83, resident of Alston Brook, formerly of Helmstetler Road, Lexington passed away Friday evening (April 29, 2011) at Alston Brook. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday (May 4, 2011) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Sanford, Rev. Eric Disher and Ronnie Rummage officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night and at other times at the home of daughter, Wanda Rummage, 708 Helmstetler Road, Lexington. Jane was born in Davidson County, December 19, 1927 to Samuel Rich Eller and Anna Tate Eller. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and an retired employee of Parkdale Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kenneth Swicegood; her sister Mary Tysinger and her brothers, Stokes, John and Robert Eller. Surviving are: husband, Carl P. Swicegood of the home; two daughters, Wanda Rummage and husband Ronnie and Carla Sanow and husband Don all of Lexington; two sons, Flynn Swicegood and wife Shirley and Vincent “Vince” Swicegood and wife Linda all of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Kendra Miller, Angie Dorsett. Shannon Rummage, Robby Rummage, Sherlyn Thomason, Jeremy Swicegood, Natasha Swicegood, Damon James and Holly James; eight great-grandchildren, Mackenlea Miller, Mason Miller, Kayden Dorsett, Kyle Rummage, Ethan Rummage, Kailyn Rummage, Ella Rummage and Trinity Thomason.
