Janet Holifield Duncan

Janet Lee Holifield Duncan, 72 of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 27 ^th at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor David Bowman officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending the service are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Ms. Duncan was born on March 23, 1948 in Anawalt, West Virginia to Fred and Betty Dougherty Holifield.  She retired from Lexington Memorial Hospital and was of the Baptist faith.  Her parents; daughter, Shannon Duncan and brother, Fred Holifield, Jr., preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Lane Duncan, Sr., of the home; son, Donald Lane Duncan, Jr., of Winston-Salem; daughters, Belinda Lupton (Larry) of Lexington, Rachel Reid (John) of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Delores Shumate Trivette of North Wilkesboro; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
