Janet Jones Everhart

Janet Jones Everhart, age 75, of Thomas Road, Lexington (Midway Community) went to be with the Lord on Friday night after a brief illness.   Celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Midway United Methodist Church with Rev. John Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Sunday and at other times at the home of Beth Hair, 1199 Thomas Road, Lexington.   Janet was born in Prince William County, VA June 18, 1937 to Walter Fletcher and Grace Jones. She worked for 17 years for Hanes Knitting and retired after 17 years with AT&T. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church, where she dedicated her life to serving others, through making chicken pies and prayer blankets. Janet was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jeanann Myers. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jack Everhart; two daughters, Libby Everhart (Allen) of Midway, Susan Everhart of Cooleemee; grandchildren, Jason Everhart (Heather) of Easley, SC, Beth Hair (D.G.) of Midway; great-grandchildren, Jack, Daniel and Jacob; sisters, Grace Thompson (Hassel) of East Bend, June Shoaf of Midway, Pat Herman (Fred) of Clemmons, Wanda Jones of PA; brothers, Walter Jones of Atlanta, GA, David Jones (Donna) of Midway, James Jones (Karen) of Welcome and Kevin Jones (Terry Lynn) of Mt.
