Janet Elaine Mahek

Janet Elaine Jordan Mahek, 75, of Thomasville, passed away at her home Saturday, August 13, 2022, surrounded by her family.

A Gathering of Friends will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, 301 N. Main St. Lexington, NC. 27292.

Janet was born on July 20, 1947, in New Castle County, Delaware to the late David Franklin Jordan and Helen Mary Spencer Jordan. She graduated from Claymont High School in 1965 and then worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for many years at both Tyro Elementary and Churchland Elementary. Janet enjoyed spending time with her cat, Adele, who she loved to spoil. She loved watching game shows, such as Family Feud and America Says. But above all, she loved her girls. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael David Mahek.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Denise Mahek (Heather) of Thomasville; two sisters, Dianne Wertz (Dennis) of DE, and Kathleen Giberson of FL; one brother, James Jordan of NY; and sister, Lynn Mahek of DE.
