Janette Cardwell Lambert

Janette Cardwell Lambert, 82, of Pine Top Road in Lexington, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 26, 2021 at Christian Life Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member with Rev. Gary Brown officiating services. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm Friday at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord.

Mrs. Lambert’s body will lie in state Thursday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lambert was born May 5, 1938 in Wilkes County to Sanford E. O. Cardwell and Leona Huffman Cardwell. She was active in her church and retired from Lucent Technologies (formely AT&T). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rev. Robert Lewis Lambert and her first husband Edgar Phillip Palmer Sr, a brother, Clarence O. Cardwell, and two daughters, Robin Greene and Joyce Sherbert.

Surviving are sons, Tony Palmer and wife Ann of Monroe, and Phil Palmer of Orlando Florida, Bob Lambert and wife Shelia of Mount Holly; daughters, Kay Messer and husband Gene of Bessemer City, Chris Carson and husband Eddie of Mount Holly; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
