Eva Janette Miller Shoaf, 90, of Fairview Drive, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jamie Armstrong and Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service and other times at their respective homes.
Mrs. Shoaf was born March 10, 1925, in Davie County, to Lloyd E. Miller and Eva Elizabeth Sidden Miller. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she had been a former Sunday school teacher. She was past President of the Club of Golden years; a member of the Red Hat Society and the Lexington Lunch Bunch. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither Shoaf, who died July 6, 2000; brothers, Grady Miller and Edward Miller; and sisters, Ila Gobble, Dorothy Davis, Ora Temple, Charlotte Boger, Ruth Miller and Truth Miller.
Surviving are sons, Sammy Shoaf and wife Pam and Lavon Shoaf and wife Kathy, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Wesley Shoaf, Bobby Shoaf and wife Kim, Anna Miller and Brandon Shoaf; great-grandchildren, Logan Shoaf, Dana Shoaf, Chesney Miller, Collin Miller, Lorelei Shoaf and Silas Shoaf; brother-in-law, Dallas Shoaf; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Miller and Lynn Shoaf.
