Janice Jones Athay

Janice Marie Jones Athay, 74 of Brookstone Retirement Home died Friday at Brookstone. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday March 25, 2009 at Freedom Baptist Church conducted by Rev Clyde Akers.   Mrs. Athay was born in Davidson County March  4, 1935 to Richard Lamar Jones Sr. and Mary Walser Jones. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death her parents, her husband William Thomas Athay and an infant daughter, Vickie Lynn Athay.   Surviving are a son Richard Athay and wife Frances of Thomasville and a daughter Merry Everhart and husband Robert of Welcome. One brother, Richard Jones Jr. of Lexington and sisters: Barbara Queen of Southmont, Jean Thomason of Mooresville and Rita Willis of Mars Hill. Three Grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Athay of Thonasville, Emily Everhart of Welcome and Andrea Milsap  of Thomasville.   The family will receive friends following the service at the church.    Memorials may be made to Davidson Medical Ministries, P.O.
