Janice "Chris" Blum

Janice “Chris” Watson Blum, age 70, of Welcome passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A  funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she was a member conducted by Pastors Avery Varnadore and Randy Burgess with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home.

Chris was born February 9, 1949 in Davidson County to T.L. Watson and Myrtle Christine Watkins Watson. She was retired from Duracell. At her church she was a member of the choir and served on the bereavement committee. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Glenn Edward Blum.

Surviving are her daughter, Jamie Clark (Eric) of Welcome. Her granddaughters, Alaina and Evelynn both of Welcome. Her mother Myrtle Watson of Welcome and her sisters, Carol Martin (William) of Lexington, Linda Mize of Arcadia and Mary Lou James of Yadkinville.
