HEADING NAME: Janice Kennedy Janice Shirley Kennedy, 60, of Robert Hargrave Road, died Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Rowan Regional Hospital in Salisbury after an illness of two weeks. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 1, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Lance Scarlett officiating services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Kennedy was born February 4, 1953 in Davidson County to Curtis Estee Shirley and Helen Shelton Jordon. She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Henry Link Plant #8 and was a Cub Scout Leader. She is survived by her husband Garland Kennedy of the home, two daughters; Lynn Kennedy of Lexington and Sherry Kennedy of Kings Mountain, one sister, Jean Shirley of Mocksville, her parents as well as a step father John Jordon, seven grandchildren; Kristen Kennedy, Ashley Irvin, Christopher Irvin, Elizabeth Irvin, Justin Lamb, Lyndsey Millner and Lily Ervin and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her sister-in-law Delores Smith on Highway 8 in Lexington.
