Janice Lea

Mrs. Janice Swing Lea, age 68 of Sunrise Avenue, Lexington passed away Wednesday, April 9 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 12 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ray N. Howell 3rd. Mrs. Lea was born May 18, 1939 in Davidson County to Arlie Gilmer Swing and Genevieve Craver Swing. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and had attended Women’s College now UNC-G. Prior to her retirement she was co-owner of Swing Realty High Rock Lake Realty Office. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Peter Stokes (Pete) Lea. She is also survived by a son Ben Lea and wife Stephanie of Los Angeles, CA and by brothers, Larry Swing and wife Jo; Don Swing and wife Jane all of Lexington; Ed Swing and wife Phoebe of Greensboro and Dr. Ken Swing and wife Winnie of Flat Rock. A sister-in-law, Willie Swing of Winston-Salem and a grandchild Zachary Thurman. The Family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and will be at the residence on Sunrise Ave. following the memorial service on Saturday.
