Janice Cole Luebbert, 74, of Toms Creek Church Road, Pilot Mountain, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Wolkes Hospice Home in Dobson.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Ricky Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Luebbert was born November 8, 1939, in Watauga County, to Marlin Odell Cole and Charlotte Eggers Cole. She was retired from PellCare Nursing Home after 32 years of service as the business manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain, The Pilot Club of Lexington and Pilot Mountain Womens Club. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her husband, Will George Luebbert of the home; stepsons, Steve Luebbert and wife Melanie of Henderson, NV, Pat Luebbert and wife Denise of Pinnacle, NC and Benjamin Luebbert and wife Connie of Columbia, Mo.; stepdaughters, Debbie Stroud and husband Jim of Pilot Mountain, Marcie Luebbert and Maggie Nichols, both of Columbia, Mo.; grandchildren, Jason Gentry, Kristin and Nick Luebbert, Jim Stroud, Tim Stroud, Anthony Gremp, Christie Snelson, Chelsea Snelson and Nicole Nichols; nine great-grandchildren; brother, J.B. Cole of Lexington; and sisters, Ruth Cole Earp, Frances Koontz, and Linda Westervelt, all of Lexington.
