Janice Lynn Mcdaniel

Janice Lynn McDaniel, 56, of Davidson County, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at Novant Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, 2:00 PM, at Crossroads Baptist Church; 191 Old Golden Lane, Lexington, NC 27295, with Pastor Danny Sams officiating.

Janice was born on December 9, 1968, in Merrimack County, NH, to David Richard Bennett and Patricia Diane Gentry Bennett. She worked for most of her life in mental health as it was her true calling, she helped many people heal and improve their lives. Her heart for people knew no bounds, and she would often extend herself as a helping hand in any and every situation that presented itself.

Caring for others was such an integral part of Janice that those who knew her found her name synonymous with love and acceptance. Family was the most special part of her life, and her children and grandchildren find comfort in the memories they shared, whether it was boating on the water, enjoying the holidays, or just swinging by for a quick visit. Each moment spent with Janice was a blessing to be cherished.

She is also remembered for her independent nature and tenacity in every area of life and instilled within her children and grandchildren a spirit of fortitude and resilience, but also patience and grace.

Left to carry on her legacy are her children, Nicholas McDaniel (Danielle), of Mooresville, and Heather Tysinger (Wesley), of Lexington; her parents, David and Patricia; sister, Donna Lund, of Fl; brother, David Bennett (Jen), of NH; previous spouse and close friend, Jerry McDaniel; grandchildren, Emry, Marshall, Layla, and Porter; treasured fur babies, Lilly and Bella; and extended family and friends.
