Janice Eagleson Mecimore

Janice Redmon Eagleson Mecimore, 83, of Bermuda Village in Advance, passed away Tuesday October 18, 2022.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday October 23, 2022 at Center Church, where she was a lifelong member, with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating services.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.

Mrs. Mecimore was born December 11, 1938 in Forsyth County to Ike Eagleson and Ida Lee Redmon Eagleson. Janice worked with the acolytes at her church, loved going to the beach, loved to cook and spent much time volunteering at the Methodist Children’s Home.  She was a retired educator from Davidson County Schools and absolutely loved teaching kids. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George “Bud” Washington Mecimore Jr.

Surviving is her daughter, Vanessa Henry (Brian) of Cramerton NC; one sister Bobbie Lee Bowman of Charlotte; 2 grandchildren, Haley Stewart and Isaiah Hunn; and 2 nieces, Robin Gibbons (David) and family and Leann Inman (Alan) and family.
