Janice Ayers Sanford

Janice Ayers Sanford age 62 of Lexington passed away late Tuesday night, July 6, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 9, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Mark Blair officiating. Private burial will be at Mt. Lawn Memorial Park in Boone. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Janice was born in Watauga County on April 5, 1948 to Grant Robert Ayers, Sr. and Mary Lasley Ayers. She attended ASU and worked 24 years at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation as an operations coordinator. Preceded in death by one husband Dewey Joe Meadows, Sr., father Grant R. Ayers, Sr., maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jim & Sarah Lasley and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. S.M. Ayers. Surviving are two daughters; Mary Virginia Danner-Owens (Phillip) of Clemmons, Sarah Katie Parvin of Lexington; one brother Grant Robert Ayers, Jr. (Alice) of Morganton; mother Mary Ruth Ayers of Clemmons and husband R. Mac Sanford of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jonathan and Eric Danner, Nathan and Zachery Owens, Sarah and Marshall Parvin. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Pallative Care Center of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
