Janice Crotts Shaw, 50, of Meadow Run Lane, went to be with the Lord together with granddaughter, Azlyn Shaw Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center, from injuries received during a tornado.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with the Rev. Darrell Sluder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shaw was born October 10, 1961, in Davidson County, to Lawrence Odell Crotts and Blanche Louya Crotts. She was a former employee of PPG and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Crotts and Gerald Crotts; and granddaughter, Azlyn Shaw.
Surviving are her husband, Steven Mark Shaw of the home; daughters, Peggy Shaw of the home and Christina Cottle and husband, Christopher, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Devin Cottle, Chirstin Cottle and Katie Johnson; brothers, Tony Crotts, Jerry Crotts and wife, Charlene, and Craig Crotts and wife, Pam, all of Lexington; and sister, Shelby York of Lexington.
