Janice Warfford Tysinger

Ms. Janice Warfford Tysinger, 64, of Linwood Southmont Road, died suddenly on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 26 at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, by the Revs. Billy Pearson, and R.N. Hardin. Ms. Tysinger was born November 23, 1945 in Davidson County to George Edwin and Myrtle Owen Warfford. She was a graduate of High Point University and retired from the Lexington City Schools, where she taught for many years. She was also a lifelong member of Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer, Sunday School director, sang in the choir and served on numerous committees. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and was an avid bowler. Her parents, and her brother, Ronald Warfford, preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Clarence Warfford and wife, Linda, of Lexington; her sister in law, Elaine Warfford-Hicks of Lexington; her nieces, Beverly Berrier and husband, Tim; and Amy Briggs and husband, Scott, all of Lexington; her great nephews and niece, Brent Berrier, Clay Berrier, Caleb Briggs, and Leigha Briggs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 183, Southmont, NC 27351.
