Janie Bodenheimer Kimball, 86, of Kiger Way, Winston-Salem, passed through Heaven's Gates Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 16, 1919, to O.H. and Bessie Bodenheimer. She was a member of Bethlehem Church and retired from the Davidson County School cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Kimball; a brother, David Michael Bodenheimer; and two sisters, Doris B. Dorsett and Grace B. Hester.
Surviving are her children, son Michael Allen Kimball and wife Terri of Winston-Salem; daughter Catherine Kimball Snyder and husband Richard of Winston-Salem; and grandchildren Spencer Allen Snyder, Emily Michelle Snyder, Addison David Kimball and Lee Michael Kimball.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Bethlehem Church, with the Rev. Aaron Long and Pastor Carlos White officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, April 29, at Davidson Funeral Home - Hickory Tree Chapel.

The family would like to give special recognition to Terri Kimball for the care of Janie in her home during her closing years and the nursing staffs of the Lutheran Home and Forsyth Medical Center's palliative care unit.
