Jasper Lum Icenhower, 77 of Olin Village, in Olin, NC, passed away Friday January 21 at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville after an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Brandon Harrison officiating.
Mr. Icenhower was born on June 9, 1933 in Macon County, NC to William Judson Icenhower and Emma Lakey Icenhower. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Franklin, NC. Mr. Icenhower was a retired owner/operator of Jasper’s Mobile Homes. He was also a self-employed logger for 15 years. He was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Icenhower and sisters Helen Clark and Lucille Ivester.
Surviving are his wife Nell Winchester Icenhower of Linwood; a son Dennis Icenhower of
Hickory; daughters Evelyn McCubbins and husband, Jeff, of Linwood; Kathy Love of Mocksville; Wanda Colen and husband, Henry, of Wilksboro and Sarah Hubbard and husband, David, of Linwood; brother Manuel Judson Icenhower of Winston-Salem; sister Floy Jean McGraw and husband, James, of Morrisboro; grandchildren Mandy Garner; Melissa Long and husband, Brian; Jenifer McCubbins; Bo McCubbins and wife, Lori; Brandy Wright and husband, Jeff; Pam Shuffler; and Megan Shuffler; and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Olin Village Assisted Living for the loving care provided over the past three years. Also, a special thanks to the Davis Regional staff for the comfort care provided during his final days.
