Jay Brian Clodfelter, 76, of Bethesda Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bethesda United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Danny Miller. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Jay was born in Davidson County on July 31, 1937, to Everett Alexander and Emily Ruth Craver Clodfelter. He was a retired employee of Davidson County Schools and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jay was preceded in death by his parents; son Jeffrey Clodfelter; sister Jean McGlamery; and brothers Ivan, Everett, Lynn and Gordon Clodfelter.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Crotts Clodfelter of the home; daughter Angie Clodfelter Hyatt and husband Kevin; grandson Colby Hyatt and friend Michelle Ayers; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
