J.D. Williamson

J.D. Williamson, 79, of Greensboro Street Extension, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 22, 2013, at High Point Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Clyde Akers. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday and other times at the home. J.D. was born Dec. 18, 1933, in Columbus County to Wright and Minnie Orgie Nance Williamson. He was a retired employee of Coble Dairy and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Williamson. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Spivey Williamson; daughter Wanda Savage and significant other David Biesecker; sons Ricky Williamson (Terri) of Clemmons and Billy Williamson; grandchildren Trey Savage (Holly), Sterling Savage (Amanda) and Dustin Williamson; great-grandchildren Blake, Ty and Cadence Savage; sisters Bernice Little, Betty Jean Treat, Evelyn Irene Ward and Gayle Pierce; brothers Jimmy, Cecil, Wayne and Livyan Williamson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
