Jean Vanfausin Black

Reba Jean Vanfausin Black, 76, of Pittsboro, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Carolina Central Hospital in Sanford. A memorial service will be at a later date. Mrs. Black was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Cabell County, W.Va., to Homer Vanfausin and Katie Chamblers Vanfausin. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Attlee P. Black of the home; one son, Dale Black and his wife, Connie, of Florida; three daughters, Kitty E. Maynard and her husband, Lucian, of Pittsboro, Nancy J. Hallman and her husband, Bob, of Lexington, and Terri Lynn Nicholas and her husband, Jay, of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Madaline Farris of Winston-Salem.
