Jean Mallard

Lelia “Jean” Imogene Brooks Mallard, 93, of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Grayson Creek Assisted Living. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Mallard was born in Davidson County on April 2, 1928, to Bently Lee Brooks and Mary Stafford Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Calvin Mallard, Sr.; two brothers, James and Byron Brooks; a sister, Ruth Leonard; and a grandson, Kevin David Mallard. Surviving are her son, David Calvin Mallard, Jr. (Patrina); and a nephew, Pete Brooks (Gloria) all of Lexington. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Grayson Creek Assisted Living for their compassionate care of Mrs. Mallard.
