Jean Parlier

Barbara “Jean” Hamilton Athay Parlier, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Parlier was born in Davidson County on May 20, 1937 to Ernest and Juanita Hamilton who preceded her in death.  She was married to Billy Joe Athay who died in 1992 and Gilbert Parlier who died in 2015.

Jean was a member of the Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She worked for 53 years at Davidson County Mutual Fire Insurance Company and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Lee Athay and wife Theresa, Marcia A. Myers and husband Charles, Webb Athay and wife Barbara all of Lexington, Randy Parlier of New York City, Beth P. Milleson and husband Bryan of Advance; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marcus Hamilton and wife Kaye of Mint Hill, N. C.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
